FileMaker reborn as Claris

Today, at DevCon FileMaker's CEO, Brad Freitag announced that the company returns to its original name, Claris. Standing for clarity and illumination, Claris strikes a chord with many Apple-veterans, and immediately brings many positive memories.

This is a very exciting change suggesting that the Workplace Innovation Platform will expand its reach to better suit problem solvers' needs in our rapidly-changing world.

As a first step in this direction, Claris announced acquisition of Stamplay's integration technology providing more than 150 connectors to various popular 3rd party services and cloud offerings (including Dropbox, Slack, and Salesforce). This tech will be offered as Claris Connect.
